The unique decor adds a distinct charm, like the bronze statue of Richard Wagner that greets you, and the spacious room designs are a nice change of pace. The pool in the spa area has depth that surprises you.
The sauna's closure without any heads-up is quite disappointing, as is the off-putting breakfast that serves rubbery scrambled eggs and bruised fruit. Getting to the hotel has its challenges due to a staircase entry, especially for families with strollers. The laundry service seems to lack reliability.

The breakfast was excellent and, although it was after 09.00 o'clock, still completely laid out. For the booked single room there was a free upgrade to a double room. The actual room. and the bathroom were very clean.

There was nothing to criticize!

I've stayed here before and would stay here again. I ate at a lovely restaurant for the breakfast. The location of the hotel was great and perfect - just a pleasant stroll away from a cultural heritage monument. It was across the fairly quiet area...

The location directly at the station is great if you arrive without a car. Despite the proximity to the station, my room was pleasantly quiet. The breakfast was first class and the staff was very friendly and extremely anxious that one is completely satisfied.

unbeatable price-performance ratio, modern rooms
The water glasses at breakfast are too small.

The staff were friendly and cute. The hotel is just a short walk from both the beautiful Kunstmuseum and the vibrant Rotmain-Center, perfect for those who love city strolling and exploring local culture.

great location, just outside the train station, the room was ok and clean and fairly warm. There is an extra heater in the bathroom.
The hotel is quite old, so don't expect anything fancy about your room, the curtains in the bedroom couldn't be pulled close. Furniture is evidently old, the room a bit dark. Ok for a business trip, I wouldn't pick it for a vacation though. For the quality it is a bit overpriced.

Great location in terms of access to most sites of interest. French atmosphere
Next to Hauptbahnhof which had its down side in terms of noise. I thought that the under-cover car park was awkward to find.

The staff is shockingly disorganized. I mean, how can you release rooms that clearly aren't cleaned? Not to mention, one of the saunas was closed without warning-such a amazing inconvenience. I almost thought about leaving a glowing review, but then I remembered how I expected special treatment for my 7-night stay and got nada.

Convenient for Bayreuth centre, station and Festspiele Haus.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. No shampoo/conditioner in room. Lights in room confusing - not checked by staff previously. Limited tables at breakfast in busy times. Food, plates and cutlery ran out. Not replaced quickly.

Friendly staff and very clean rooms and hotel areas.
If you open the windows it is very loud but it is right next to the train station so some noise is to be expected. There was no coffee pot or tea available in the room or a clock. All minor things but for a Junior Suite I was expecting at least coffee.
